Bus Passes
You can contact your local council that runs travel schemes or if you live in a metropolitan area they should issue your bus pass free of charge.
Christmas Bonus
You don’t need to claim Christmas Bonus – you'll get it automatically. If you think you qualify for the payment but haven’t got it, speak to the Jobcentre Plus or pension centre that deals with your payments.
Cold Weather Payment
You don’t need to apply; you'll get Cold Weather Payment automatically as long as you’re getting one of the qualifying benefits.
Tell your pension centre or Job Centre Plus office if you think you're supposed to get Cold Weather Payment.
Energy Efficiency Grants
Many energy suppliers offer special offers and discounts that significantly reduce the costs of making energy saving improvements to your home.

Free Passports for over 75's
If you’re a British national and are over the age of 75 you can apply for a free standard 32-page ten-year passport from the UK Passport Service.
If you have applied for a passport before your 75th Birthday you can apply for a refund of the standard passport fee.
The UK Passport Service can provide information about your free passport or applying for a refund on 0870 521 0410, 24 hours a day.
