Glaucoma is damage to your optic nerve and it can be caused by high pressure in your eyes. This is not the same as high blood pressure. Glaucoma doesn’t have any symptoms and because it affects side vision first may not be noticed without regular eye checks. The sight loss from glaucoma can often be avoided by using eye drops everyday which lower the pressure in the eyes.
