Social Care Services
Social Care Services will carry out an assessment if you contact them. They will advise, support and signpost as appropriate. Use our Self Referral section to refer yourself to your local Social Services, or to find your local Social Care Services contact here.
If you complete our Self Assessment this may help Social Services process your referral more quickly, as it will provide them with a lot of background in support of your enquiry. This will save them time, and is totally secure. We will not share any information about you with any outside party without your express permission. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
Social Services will contact you to review your personal circumstances and determine whether you are eligible to receive equipment through them.
Not everyone is eligible to receive equipment through Social Care Services, and not all products are available through them either, however for those who have quite complex requirements, or needing expensive equipment, this is the best option to follow.
Social Services typically provide equipment such as: -
Beds and Bedding;
Chairs and Seating Equipment;
Bathing and Bathroom Equipment;
Manual and Powered Hoists; and
Household Gadgets and Fittings.
Social Care Services will not provide Housing Adaptations, see Where Can I Get Equipment - Grants for more information how to obtain these.
