The need for Mobility equipment is assessed through the Physiotherapy Department at your local Hospital. A Physiotherapist will visit your home to determine your needs if required. You can arrange for a Physiotherapist assessment through your Doctor.
Wheelchairs are mostly provided through the NHS Wheelchair Service. Manually operated or electric wheelchairs are available if you have a permanent or temporary need.
Voucher schemes are also available should you wish to upgrade to a higher specification chair.
